All Blacks retain Bledisloe Cup with 33-24 win over Wallabies at Eden Park
Roigard's late try seals 23rd straight Cup defense as NZ extends Eden Park streak to 52 matches

The All Blacks beat Australia 33-24 to retain the Bledisloe Cup for a 23rd straight year, with a late Cam Roigard try sealing the win at Auckland's Eden Park. The victory also extended New Zealand’s unbeaten run at the venue to 52 matches.
New Zealand started quickly, with Caleb Clarke crossing inside three minutes, followed by tries from Leroy Carter and Cam Roigard to push the score to 20-3 midway through the first half. Billy Pollard replied for Australia, and Harry Potter’s try on the stroke of halftime left the teams 23-20 at the break.
Two penalties from Damian McKenzie extended the All Blacks’ lead after the break, but a converted try from Wallaby flanker Carlo Tizzano set up a tense finish. Roigard then sealed the result, scoring from a Jordie Barrett pass to make it 33-24.
New Zealand now lead the Rugby Championship with one game remaining, while South Africa could move to the top with victory over Argentina later on Saturday. Australia sit in second with two wins and three losses, and their final match of the tournament is in Perth next weekend.
Australia have not won at Eden Park since 1986, and this result leaves them with 23 straight defeats at the venue.
The 2025 Bledisloe Cup is contested over two matches; if the series ends 1-1 the cup remains with the holders.
