Bears rally past Packers 22-16 in overtime after Love exits with concussion

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love left Saturday night’s NFC North showdown with Chicago after suffering a concussion from a helmet-to-helmet hit by Bears defensive lineman Austin Booker on a second-quarter sack. Booker was flagged for roughing the passer. Love jogged off the field, ducked into the blue injury tent on Green Bay’s sideline, and later walked to the visiting locker room, where he was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Early in the contest, a Packers defensive back delivered a blindside hit to Bears wide receiver DJ Moore, briefly knocking him out of the game before he returned. At halftime, Green Bay led 6-0 after Love had completed 8 of 13 passes for 77 yards and rushed twice for seven yards. With Love unavailable after the break, Malik Willis was brought in to deputize for the Packers.

Caleb Williams helped Chicago erase a 10-point deficit late in the fourth quarter, connecting on a 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime to lift the Bears to a 22-16 win over Green Bay. Williams’ throw capped a late comeback that carried Chicago past its longtime rival in a game that grew increasingly chippy as the clock wound down.

The Bears, now 11-4, extended their lead in the NFC North to 1 1/2 games over the Packers (9-5-1) with two games left in the regular season. Chicago’s victory capped a night that featured physical play on both sides and a dramatic finish that left Green Bay to regroup with a short week ahead.
