Bengals fans brawl in stands after Joe Burrow injury during 31-27 win
Video shows multiple supporters trading blows at Paycor Stadium as Cincinnati grapples with quarterback's turf-toe injury; coach says surgery likely and names Jake Brown as replacement

A fight broke out among a group of Cincinnati Bengals fans at Paycor Stadium on Sunday as the team completed a 31-27 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, footage from the game shows. The altercation was captured on video and circulated on social media while the game’s public-address system played Bon Jovi’s "Livin’ on a Prayer."
Video posted to X showed at least three fans in Bengals apparel tussling in the stands. Two were wearing No. 9 Joe Burrow jerseys and a third wore a jersey bearing "Your Mom" and the number 69. The clip, roughly 41 seconds long, shows one man being held back by a woman while two others grapple, then pull one participant down to the concourse. After the man in the black hat got to his feet, he was struck by another fan with white hair. Stadium staff, including a member of security and an usher, stepped in before the video ends.
The scuffle was reported to have occurred after Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left the game with an injury. TMZ and other outlets reported the incident took place in the aftermath of Burrow’s injury, which Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor described on Monday as turf-toe and said would likely require surgery.
"I don’t want to make any determination [about the IR] right now," Taylor told reporters. "We’ll get through the week, get all the information we can, and go from there." Taylor added that the coaching staff and organization had confidence in backup quarterback Jake Brown, who will take over for the 2-0 Bengals while Burrow is evaluated.
"We have a ton of confidence in Jake," Taylor said. "He proved that yesterday. … He’s played against this team we’re about to play, so he’s got experience there. The point that you turn to now is excited for Jake to go out there and play, and he’s earned the right to be in the spotlight. The guys will ride behind him and we’ll get Jake’s best."

The Bengals had been leading when Burrow left the field after taking a sack in the first half. An AP photo from the game showed Burrow grimacing after a hit by Jacksonville defensive tackle Arik Armstead. Cincinnati finished the game with a 31-27 win, but Burrow’s status now clouds the team’s short-term outlook and raises questions about how long he may be sidelined.
The video of the stand altercation drew attention on social media and was shared by local accounts following the game. There were no immediate reports from the team or stadium authorities about arrests or injuries related to the scuffle. The Bengals, who travel next with Brown expected to start, will have time in the coming week to determine Burrow’s recovery timeline and whether roster moves will be necessary.
