Brooklyn Beckham struggles in Ryder Cup celebrity match at Bethpage Black
Beckham jeered as he battles bunker mishaps and lost balls in New York's celebrity golf event; USA prevails over Europe.

Brooklyn Beckham, 26, endured a chastening round at the Ryder Cup celebrity playoff at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, as a poor tee shot sent his ball into a bunker and a later mis-hit sent him wandering the shrubbery in search of it while fans jeered.
Beckham's round featured repeated shots that went out of bounds and frequent entanglements with bunkers, according to an insider cited by the Daily Mail. He teamed with Toni Kukoč for Europe, and the pair struggled as the day wore on.
Fans shouted comments as Beckham navigated the course, while his playing partners and opponents received more attention. The Europe team ultimately fell to the United States duo of Eli Manning and Colin Jost, with a final score of 7.5 to 3.5.
Beckham later spoke to the Daily Mail, acknowledging that the crowd's energy was not aimed at him and saying the experience was 'amazing' despite the ribbing. 'I feel like they didn't like me at all - but it was amazing,' he said. 'They gave me a bit of rubbish but I kind of expected it - being in New York, going against Eli... they were just laughing. But it is what it is, I was having fun out there. I did the best I could. It was honestly just really fun.'
Public reports have highlighted a rift between Beckham and his family in recent months. In notes accompanying the event, a Daily Mail source said Beckham has missed major family celebrations, including Romeo Beckham's birthday. Nicola Peltz, Beckham's wife, remained in Los Angeles to care for their four dogs.
Across the day's celebrity matches, the USA team led Europe 25-19 overall.
Other participants included Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tom Felton, helping to make the event a widely watched spectacle as part of the Ryder Cup celebrity series.
