Cardi B pregnancy prompts Patriots WAGs to invite tailgate after Stefon Diggs reveal
Two Patriots wives and girlfriends invite Cardi B to a tailgate after the rapper’s pregnancy announcement with Stefon Diggs; Diggs faces a paternity suit

Cardi B is expecting her first child with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, with a February 2026 due date, the rapper disclosed in a CBS Mornings interview that aired in September. The couple has been linked since October 2024 and went public in May when they were spotted courtside at a Boston Celtics versus New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
Two Patriots wives and girlfriends posted a video message on Instagram last Friday congratulating Cardi and welcoming her to the Patriots family. “Hey Cardi, it's two of your future favorite WAGs,” Victoria Gibson says in the clip. “A lot of people are looking forward to meeting you.” “I'm throwing a tailgate,” she adds. “We're gonna have a cookout, some punch - we're just gonna have a good time.” Cardi did not attend the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, but Gibson followed up with a lighthearted video referencing the rapper's absence, asking, “@iamcardib what do you wanna bring to the potluck sis?”
Cardi, 32, disclosed the pregnancy during the CBS Mornings interview that aired in September, saying she is due to give birth in February 2026. “I feel like I'm in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I'm doing all this work - but I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby,” she told Gayle King. She explained why she waited to confirm publicly: “I just was like, ‘Can I just say it on my own time?’ Like, I'm not hiding. Let me close some deals first… Let me see a couple of more sonograms. Let my baby be healthy.” Cardi and Diggs, 31, have been linked since October 2024, going public in May when they were spotted courtside at the Celtics-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. The rapper recently released her second studio album, Am I the Drama?, and is expected to tour after giving birth.
Meanwhile, Diggs was recently hit with a paternity suit by Instagram model Aileen Lopera, known as Lord Gisselle on social media, who filed a petition in Los Angeles last December to determine whether Diggs is the father of her infant daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, who was born on April 2, per the US Sun. Lopera had been pregnant when she filed and listed Diggs as the parent.
The tailgate invitation illustrates how social media activity from players’ partners and girlfriends can shape the public narrative around a team, even as off-field headlines continue to swirl around the high-profile relationship and related legal questions.
