Chargers beat Broncos 23-20 as fan briefly snatches ball from Keenan Allen’s wife at SoFi Stadium
Keenan Allen helps fuel a late surge; a fan was seen taking the ball meant for Ciandra Allen, with the ball later reportedly returned in the aftermath.

An NFL fan at SoFi Stadium briefly grabbed a football that Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had tossed toward his wife, Ciandra, during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Denver Broncos.
Allen, 33, finished with seven receptions for 65 yards, including a game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter that helped the Chargers complete a dramatic comeback. With 2:37 left, quarterback Justin Herbert connected with Allen in the end zone, and Allen wheeled toward the stands to celebrate with Ciandra as the ball sailed toward her. A clip of the moment circulated on social media, showing a fan snatching the ball and making a quick exit after the grab. Ciandra appeared to grab the man’s shoulder as teammates gathered to celebrate around Allen.
Ciandra later confirmed that she did in fact get the ball back. She posted a photo of herself outside SoFi Stadium with the ball and also replied to a clip on X, writing, “I got the ball. The camera didn’t show right after that lol.” A fan who posted the clip added the caption, “HE BETTER HAVE GIVEN THAT BALL BACK TO KEENAN'S WIFE WTF!!!!”
Despite the momentary distraction, Allen’s performance remained central to Los Angeles’ start to the season. Through three games, he has 19 receptions for 194 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Chargers to a 3-0 record. He will look to extend that production as the Chargers prepare to face the New York Giants next weekend, a team still seeking its first win.
Off the field, Allen’s celebrations have drawn attention in the past as well. Earlier this season, fans noted a pair of prominent shoulder deformities on Allen during postgame celebrations; doctors have explained that the large lumps are related to AC joint injuries, including a right-AC joint sprain he suffered in 2013, a condition that has not required surgical repair.
The incident at SoFi Stadium stood out for its blend of on-field drama and a brief, high-profile moment in the stands, though the ball eventually returned to Ciandra and the game resumed with the Chargers maintaining momentum toward their early-season success.
