Chichester footballer in coma after match accident
21-year-old Billy Vigar remains in intensive care with a significant brain injury after an Isthmian League Premier Division game against Wingate & Finchley; Chichester City says the recovery will be long.

Billy Vigar, a forward who came through the Arsenal academy, is in an induced coma in intensive care after suffering a significant brain injury during Saturday's Isthmian League Premier Division match between Chichester City and Wingate & Finchley.
Chichester City said Vigar "received a significant brain injury" and is "currently in an induced coma in intensive care receiving the best possible treatment." It is too early to say what the outcome will be, and even if things go well, there will be a long road to recovery.
Vigar is 21 and from Worthing. He is a graduate of the Arsenal academy and has had spells at Derby County, Hastings FC and Eastbourne Borough.
The injury is thought to have occurred when he struck a concrete wall, though the club has not confirmed this.
The club's statement said the injury occurred during the Isthmian League Premier Division match against Wingate & Finchley, and added that updates would be provided as information becomes available.
