Christopher Bell dedicated his NASCAR Cup Series victory at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday to Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was shot and killed on a Utah campus earlier in the week.

Bell, driver of the No. 20 DEWALT Toyota, climbed from his car moments after the Bass Pro Shops Night Race and said the win was for Kirk. "It wasn’t pretty there at the end, but we got her done," Bell said. "Most importantly, this week’s obviously been a very tough week. You know, there’s a lot on our minds. This one's for Charlie."

Kirk, 31, co‑founder of Turning Point USA, was shot on the campus of Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon.
