Devonta Smith calls out Eagles security guard after fiancée appears on sideline during Rams game

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith publicly criticized a team security guard for checking out his fiancée, Mya Danielle, on the sideline during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field. Danielle had posted a video to Instagram showing her walking on the field before kickoff, and the clip captured the security guard turning to glance at her from behind on two occasions, set to the song 'Surrender' by Kut Klose. In the comments on Danielle’s post, Smith wrote, 'Aye security better watch out,' followed by two laughing emojis.

Danielle wore a gray suit top with short suit-style bottoms, black boots and a Gucci bag, according to the post. The couple, together for more than two years, became engaged last New Year’s Eve while Danielle was pregnant with their second daughter. Their first daughter, Kali Danielle, was born in April, and Kyse Danielle turns two next month. Danielle also wore a No. 6 lapel pin on the collar of her top, and the video highlighted a large engagement ring on her finger.

Reactions spilled onto social media. Angel Reese, a prominent WNBA star, wrote, 'I understand mr security guard,' while Eagles WAG Ayden Shipley commented, 'The security guard said DAYYUUUMMM.' Danielle watched on as the Eagles staged a dramatic comeback against the Rams, punctuated by a late special-teams touchdown.

Smith’s public reply and Danielle's post come amid a high-profile run for the couple. The engagement, announced on New Year’s Eve as Danielle was pregnant with their second child, adds a personal layer to a season in which Smith has been a focal point for Philadelphia’s passing game. The family’s two daughters—Kali Danielle, born in April, and Kyse Danielle, who will turn two next month—have become fixtures in the Eagles’ extended circle as the team pursues a playoff push.

On the field, the Eagles completed the comeback in a victory that kept their season on track. The decisive moment came on special teams as time expired, delivering a finish to a game that had featured big plays throughout the afternoon. The moment surrounding Danielle's sideline appearance added to the day’s attention but did not overshadow the Eagles’ late surge.
