Former Ohio State running back charged with felonious assault in Columbus gas-station attack
Jordan Hall, a former Buckeyes captain, arrested after police say he dragged a passenger from a vehicle and beat them unconscious

Columbus, Ohio — A former Ohio State University running back and team captain was arrested and charged with felonious assault after police say he dragged a passenger from a car at a Columbus gas station and repeatedly struck them until unconscious. The suspect, 34-year-old Jordan Hall, was taken into custody Saturday and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Police said the assault occurred around 1:20 a.m. Saturday at a gas station in Columbus. Surveillance footage identified Hall as the assailant, showing him forcibly dragging a passenger from a vehicle and punching them in the head several times. The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered multiple blunt-force injuries; they were transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.

Hall played for the Buckeyes from 2009 to 2013 and served as team captain in 2012, though a foot injury limited his playing time that season. He earned a degree in finance and financial management services, and in recent years has worked in building maintenance management and in real estate, according to LinkedIn.
He is expected to appear in Franklin County Court on Monday. The investigation is ongoing, and police have asked anyone with information to contact Columbus police for additional details.
