Giants fans plan protest banners over MetLife Stadium as Week 4 clash looms
Planes to fly messages amid 0-3 start and Russell Wilson benched

Disgruntled Giants fans are planning to fly protest banners over MetLife Stadium during Sunday's Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, despite the team benching quarterback Russell Wilson. With the Giants at 0-3, fans are unhappy as Jaxson Dart is set to take the helm of the offense.
Planes booked by at least two advertising firms are slated to fly over East Rutherford, New Jersey. High Exposure Aerial Advertising and AirSign North have each secured aircraft to display messages during the game. Flight regulations from the Port Authority of New Jersey and New York cap the number of planes in MetLife Stadium airspace at two at a time. The content of the messages has not been released, but observers say they may target Giants president John Mara. Last December, during a 3-14 season, planes flew over MetLife Stadium with messages aimed at Mara.
Los Angeles enters the game undefeated, making Dart's first NFL start a tough assignment. Officials have not disclosed the wording of any banners, and there is no confirmation of what will appear.
Past protests at MetLife Stadium reflect a pattern of fan expression toward ownership and the front office. Mara did not fire head coach Brian Daboll after last season, a decision that kept the coaching staff in place but did little to ease the pressure around the franchise.
