The San Francisco Giants posted a video on X showing a fan hand a home run ball to a young girl at Oracle Park, captioning the clip "No Karens at our ballpark" in an apparent reference to a viral confrontation involving a Phillies fan earlier in the week.

In the club's clip from Monday, a young man emerges from a scrum of fans with a ball and quickly spots a girl nearby. He gives the souvenir to her, the girl's father lifts her into the air and the surrounding crowd applauds. The Giants went on to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-5 later that night.

The post referenced an incident at Marlins' LoanDepot Park the previous Friday that received widespread attention. Video captured by FanDuel Sports Network Florida showed a female Phillies fan confronting Drew Feltwell, who had secured a home run ball and given it to his son ahead of the boy's 10th birthday. The woman demanded the ball and ultimately obtained it amid the exchange, prompting boos in the stadium and criticism on social media.

Feltwell told NBC10 Philadelphia he tried to de-escalate the situation and to set an example for his son. He said he wanted the woman to "go away" and later expressed regret about taking the ball away from his child, describing the moment of returning the ball to his son and then removing it as painful. Feltwell's son, Lincoln, nonetheless met the player who hit the ball after the game and received a signed bat, the family said.

The Giants' social post juxtaposed the club's own crowd moment — where the souvenir was handed to a child without dispute — against the earlier viral confrontation. The episode at LoanDepot Park drew attention to fan conduct and the handling of souvenirs at ballparks, while the Oracle Park clip highlighted a different outcome: fans and parents celebrating a young spectator's keepsake.

Both moments were widely shared on social media, fueling conversation among fans about etiquette and behavior at Major League Baseball games. The Giants' post, the viral video from Miami, and comments from those involved established the timeline of events that drew national attention over the weekend.
