Grace Hayden to host Canada Super 60 League live coverage

Grace Hayden has been named the official host for the live television coverage of the Canada Super 60 League, a new cricket competition launching later this October in Vancouver. The format uses 11-player teams playing 10 overs, or 60 balls, per match—a fast-paced sprint designed to maximize action from ball one. BC Place, the city’s 54,500-seat stadium, will host six days of cricket as the league seeks to attract fans at the venue and viewers around the world.

Hayden announced the role in an Instagram video, describing the announcement as a historic moment for cricket. She said the Canada Super 60 league is here and that the first 10-over-per-side format will allow both men and women to shine from ball one at BC Place. The league is backed by cricket legend Yuvraj Singh.

Hayden, 23, is the daughter of Australian Test great Matthew Hayden. Her broadcasting ascent included a breakout stint as Channel Seven’s Oaks Day ambassador in 2022, followed by work with Star Sports in India covering the Indian Premier League.

Off the field, she has pursued other media ventures, including racing assignments. She recently returned to Australia for the inaugural Sydney Everest Carnival and appeared in a striking red dress at Royal Randwick. In addition to her on-air work, she hosts the podcast Game On with Grace, which explores untold stories from sport, and she has joined the Willow app to feature conversations with athletes, artists and others pursuing excellence.

Her latest role adds to a rapid rise in broadcasting, reflecting cricket’s expanding footprint and a trend toward cross-border, cross-discipline formats. The Canada Super 60 League is scheduled to run over six days in October at BC Place, with a format designed to showcase both male and female cricketers in a concise, entertaining package.

Hayden’s collaboration with the new league marks another milestone in her growing career and underlines the evolving landscape for cricket broadcasters in North America.
