Jamie Murray and his wife, Alejandra Gutierrez, divorced on Aug. 22, 2025, after 15 years of marriage, a spokesperson for the British doubles specialist said, adding that the couple had separated the previous year.

"Jamie and Alejandra Murray divorced on August 22, 2025, having separated the previous year," the spokesperson said. "As with any divorce, this is an extremely difficult time for Jamie and Alejandra and they would appreciate that their privacy is respected whilst they navigate their future and protect their family." The couple share a 3-year-old daughter, Ava.

Media reports say Murray, 39, has joined Raya, a membership-based dating app popular with public figures. The Sun reported that Murray’s profile describes him as an athlete who "travels the world playing tennis" and includes a photo of him and his brother Andy. A family friend told The Sun that the split was "a really sad situation" and that both parties were working to keep the separation amicable.

Jamie Murray is a seven-time Grand Slam champion in men's and mixed doubles, with titles spanning 2007 to 2019. He has been a mainstay of Britain’s doubles teams on the ATP Tour and at Grand Slam events, often partnering with top doubles players and representing Britain in international competition.

The split comes as his older brother, Andy Murray, has been in the news for different reasons. Andy, a three-time Grand Slam champion who retired following last year’s Paris Olympics, has said he plans to pursue a golf career and is entering regional qualifying for the British Open. The brothers have continued to appear together publicly at tournaments in recent seasons.

Representatives for Alejandra Gutierrez did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The couple kept much of their family life private during their marriage, and the spokesperson’s statement asked for privacy as they arrange their future and care for their child.

Murray’s move to a members-only dating platform drew attention on social media after reports surfaced of the profile. His on-court achievements and off-court profile have made updates about his personal life of interest to both sports and mainstream news outlets.

No further details about financial arrangements or custody were disclosed in the statement. The spokesperson’s appeal for privacy indicates the couple is seeking to resolve matters privately while protecting their daughter’s welfare.
