Jude Bellingham Holidays with Partner as He Recovers from Shoulder Surgery

Jude Bellingham was photographed on holiday in Sardinia with partner Ashlyn Castro as the England squad continued preparations for a Nations League meeting with Serbia.

The Real Madrid midfielder, who has been sidelined by shoulder surgery, was seen with Castro in beachside images published by media outlets. Bellingham, 22, has not played since undergoing an operation this summer and has been using the break from club action to rehabilitate the injury.

Bellingham underwent surgery in London to address a shoulder problem he has been managing since November 2023, when he dislocated the joint during a LaLiga match against Rayo Vallecano. He delayed surgery earlier in the season and played with his shoulder heavily strapped before opting for the operation. In an Instagram post after the procedure, Bellingham thanked medical staff and supporters, writing: "thank you to Andrew Wallace and Susan Alexander, their team and everyone at Fortius Clinic for the surgery and hospitality. To Ivan Ortega and Dr Leyes for travelling to support. And finally, to everyone else for all the well wishes and messages of love. The process to come back has already started, see you soon."

Photographs circulated on social media last month showing a post-operative scar on Bellingham's shoulder. Club and medical sources reported that the expected rehabilitation timeframe is around three months if recovery proceeds without complications, with a possibility of extending to four months. That timetable could keep him out of action into October or potentially November.

England manager and team staff continued routine training sessions ahead of Tuesday's match against Serbia, while the squad adapts to the absence of a player who has become central to both Real Madrid and England's plans since his move to the Spanish club. Bellingham's absence has required shifts in selection and tactics, and the player has been working through a structured recovery program provided by his club medical team.

Castro, 27, a model, has appeared publicly with Bellingham on several occasions since the couple's relationship became known earlier this year. Media reports noted that Castro temporarily stepped back from social media amid controversy over claims about her past; she later addressed multiple false assertions in a video posted to her TikTok account, disputing several widely circulated allegations.

The pair attended a Real Madrid home match last month at the Santiago Bernabéu, where they watched from the stands alongside Bellingham's mother. Reports said relations appeared cordial during that outing.

Real Madrid will monitor Bellingham's rehabilitation closely with the club's medical staff and will provide updates as his recovery progresses. England's coaching staff will continue to plan for upcoming fixtures without the midfielder until he is declared fit to return to competitive action.
