BALTIMORE — Aaron Judge is closing in on a batting-title milestone for the Yankees. As of Friday, Judge was batting .328 on the season, the best mark in the American League and in baseball.

Athletics rookie shortstop Jacob Wilson was the closest challenger, at .320. There are nine games remaining in the regular season. A batting title would be a meaningful addition to Judge's résumé, reflecting the Yankees captain's long prided himself on being a complete hitter.

While most of Judge's career accomplishments have centered on home runs, he has flirted with the idea of winning a batting title this season.
