Kiffin jokes about daughter's dating LSU star as No. 4 LSU visits No. 13 Ole Miss
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin offered a three-word quip after news that Whit Weeks is dating his daughter, adding a personal subplot to a high-profile SEC showdown.

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin offered a three-word reaction to news that his daughter Landry, a 20-year-old sophomore at Mississippi, is dating LSU star Whit Weeks, days before the SEC clash between No. 4 LSU and No. 13 Ole Miss in Oxford. Landry Weeks posted a photo with Weeks in an Instagram carousel with the caption "Happy," which included a smiley face. Weeks reposted the story, commenting "Nice dude," to which Landry replied, "Thanks bud." When a fan on X noted that the Kiffin household might be in shambles, the coach offered a concise forecast for the game: "Take the over."
Weeks is LSU's standout defender. Last season, he led the SEC in solo tackles with 61 and finished with 125 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception. Through four games this season, he has 11 total tackles, including five solo and a half-sack.
LSU is 4-0 after opening with a close road game at Clemson before rolling to a 56-10 win over Southeastern Louisiana and a 20-10 win at Florida. Ole Miss also is 4-0, with an offense that has topped 30 points in three of four wins, including a 45-10 victory over Tulane and a 41-35 win at Arkansas.
The 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday will be one of the weekend’s marquee games, and the personal subplot involving Weeks and Landry Kiffin adds a unique wrinkle to the SEC showdown as the Tigers travel to Oxford.
