Lauren Goold debuts baby bump at 2025 Brownlow Medal as Mills and Rowell highlight the night
West Coast captain Liam Duggan's wife unveils pregnancy on AFL's awards night; Callum Mills and Tiffany announce their first child; Matt Rowell wins the Brownlow Medal.

Lauren Goold has shown off her baby bump at the 2025 Brownlow Medal after announcing she is pregnant with her first child. The wife of West Coast Eagles captain Liam Duggan attended AFL's night of nights alongside her husband, who wore a black tuxedo and bowtie as they posed for photographers.
Goold wore a lilac, one-shouldered Grecian gown by TOJHÀ that draped across her body and cascaded to the floor, highlighting the mum-to-be’s growing belly. Her blonde hair hung in waves over her shoulders, with makeup and jewelry kept understated. Duggan cut a dapper figure in a classic black tuxedo and bowtie as the couple shared smiles on the red carpet.
The pregnancy was first announced by the couple on Sunday via Instagram, with a black-and-white post capturing a moment between Duggan and Goold. In the photo, Duggan rests a hand on his wife’s belly as the two lean in toward a kiss, confirming they are expecting their first child and marking a personal milestone on a night otherwise dominated by AFL honors and fashion.
The Brownlow night also featured another couple who revealed pregnancy news. Sydney Swans captain Callum Mills and his wife Tiffany subtly announced they are expecting their first child. Tiffany wore a pale blue silk dress with lace trim by Viktoria and Woods, complemented by a 1950s-inspired chiffon cape that draped over her shoulders and trailed behind her. Working with stylist Victoria Burns, Tiffany described the look as an effort to highlight the bump while maintaining a sleek silhouette.
Callum Mills wore a classic black tuxedo and bowtie, and the couple greeted photographers with broad smiles, sharing the moment with the public amid the glitz of the red carpet.
The night’s onstage centerpiece, however, was Matt Rowell, who was announced as the 2025 Brownlow Medallist at Crowne Casino. Rowell finished with 39 votes, edging Nick Daicos and Bailey Smith. He becomes the second Gold Coast Suns player to win the AFL’s best and fairest award, following Gary Ablett Jr.
As the AFL season culminates in this gala, the Brownlow Medal night remains a showcase for athletic achievement and personal milestones alike. Beyond the votes and ceremony, it serves as a snapshot of the league’s broader community, where players and partners share moments of joy with fans around the country.
