Leigh reach Super League semi-finals with 26-10 win over Wakefield
Leigh Leopards beat Wakefield Trinity 26-10 in the play-off eliminator to set up a semi-final at Wigan.

Leigh Leopards advanced to the Betfred Super League semi-finals after beating Wakefield Trinity 26-10 in the play-off eliminator. Leigh, who finished nine points ahead of Wakefield in the regular season, dominated the first half and led 18-0 at the break.
Tries from Keanan Brand, Isaac Liu and Josh Charnley gave Leigh an 18-0 half-time lead. Wakefield struck early in the second half through Jayden Myers, but Gaz O'Brien added a penalty and Alec Tuitavake crossed to restore Leigh's grip; Cameron Scott's solo try for Wakefield proved only a consolation.
Leigh will travel to face second-placed Wigan in a short trip for the semi-final, as they bid to reach their first Grand Final. The teams lined up as follows: Leigh – Hodgson at full-back, Brand, Niu, Hanley and Charnley in the back line; O'Brien and Lam in the halves; Ofahengaue, Ipape, Mulhern, Halton, Trout and Liu in the pack, with Hughes, Tuitavake, Davis and Dwyer among the interchanges. Wakefield – Rourke at full-back, Myers, Scott, Pratt and Johnstone in the back line; Trueman and Lino in the halves; McMeeken, Hood, Faatili, Griffin, Storton and Pitts in the pack, with Rodwell, Nikotemo, Atoni and Smith on the bench.
