Lions beat Ravens 38-30 as Amon-Ra St. Brown's hot-mic moment draws attention

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions defeated the Baltimore Ravens 38-30 on Monday Night Football, aided by a late-game surge and a controversial moment by wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. After catching a touchdown in the third quarter to tie the game at 21-21, St. Brown turned toward the broadcast cameras and shouted an explicit exclamation: "I run this s***, n****!"

St. Brown led Detroit in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns, finishing with seven catches for 77 yards and the team's lone receiving touchdown of the night. His 20-yard catch on fourth down with under two minutes remaining helped seal the win, extending the lead to 38-30.

Following the game, St. Brown apologized for the heated moment. ESPN aired a segment highlighting his ties to Germany through his mother's homeland and his charitable work off the field.

Detroit improved to 2-1 this season after an opening loss to the Green Bay Packers, then consecutive wins against the Chicago Bears and the Ravens. The Lions return home next Sunday to host the Cleveland Browns.
