Lions rally past Ravens on MNF as St. Brown's hot-mic celebration draws attention

BALTIMORE — The Detroit Lions beat the Baltimore Ravens 38-30 on Monday Night Football at M&T Bank Stadium, sparked by Amon-Ra St. Brown’s game-tying touchdown early in the third quarter. The moment was captured on a hot mic, revealing an expletive-filled celebration and, according to reports, a racial slur.

St. Brown’s 18-yard TD catch from Jared Goff with 5:13 left in the third tied the game at 21-21 and shifted momentum toward Detroit. He finished the night with seven receptions on eight targets for 77 yards and a touchdown, his fourth receiving TD of the season and the 37th of his career, eclipsing Marvin Jones for the third-most TD receptions in Lions history.

Detroit grabbed the lead in the fourth quarter and extended it to 31-24 with under two minutes remaining. On fourth-and-2, Goff found St. Brown down the field for a 20-yard gain that extended the drive and helped set up another touchdown that sealed the win.

St. Brown discussed the moment on the field after the game with SportsCenter’s Scott Van Pelt, saying he was caught up in the emotion and acknowledging the profanity. “Excuse my profanity,” he told Van Pelt. “I was just excited, man. I think it was a big play in the game, a play that we needed at that time and moment. Big touchdown. I was just full of emotions and got a little excited.”

Detroit improved to 2-1 and will host the Cleveland Browns (1-2) on Sunday at Ford Field.
