Marcus Rashford Stays at Barcelona’s Grand Hyatt While on Loan

Marcus Rashford is on loan from Manchester United to Barcelona for the 2025/26 season and has been lodged at Grand Hyatt Barcelona, also known as Hotel Sofia, while he awaits permanent housing. The five-star hotel sits within a short distance of Camp Nou and offers a range of upscale amenities as the English forward adapts to life in the Catalan capital.

The Grand Hyatt Barcelona houses 465 rooms, from city-view rooms to a 3,433-square-foot penthouse suite, with nightly rates reported at about €700 for standard rooms and as much as €2,000 for the penthouse. The property sits in the Alta district, an area known for high-end shops, restaurants and prestigious residential streets. In addition to its rooms, the hotel features a wellness spa, a large pool and multiple dining options, including the Sofia Bar and Tapas, Maymanta on the 19th-floor rooftop, Philosofia—an interior described as a book-café-inspired space—and Lena by Dani García. LEÑA, another restaurant, is described by the hotel as a place that blends technique and bold flavors with a cosmopolitan touch.

Other amenities include a wellness spa and poolside cocktails. The hotel has drawn positive reviews from guests, highlighting the pool, beds and pillows, attentive staff and the lounge service. One guest wrote: "Beautiful hotel. Great facilities and a pool. We didn't have time to use the pool, but the option was there! The beds and pillows were really really nice, as expected in a hotel such as this." Another added: "Staff are absolutely amazing. They made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly helpful with planning day trips out. All in all a perfect stay!"

Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers walks to the Torre Girona gardens and proximity to Plaça d'Espanya, one of the city’s major squares tied to Barcelona’s 1929 International Exposition. The location keeps Rashford close to the team’s Camp Nou base while he finalizes housing arrangements ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
