Nebraska TE Luke Lindenmeyer proposes to girlfriend after scoring first career touchdown in 68-0 win
Lindenmeyer caught his first college touchdown, then asked Nebraska dance team member Kailyn Storovich to marry him as teammates celebrated the rout of Akron at Memorial Stadium.

Nebraska tight end Luke Lindenmeyer proposed to his girlfriend on the field after catching his first career touchdown in a 68-0 victory over Akron on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.
Lindenmeyer, who finished the game with three catches for 44 yards, hauled in the second-quarter scoring pass from quarterback Dylan Raiola and later walked over to his girlfriend, Kailyn Storovich, a member of the Nebraska dance team. He knelt and asked her to marry him; she said yes as teammates cheered and Huskers social media captured the moment.
"I couldn’t think of a better place to do it — to tell you I love you and I want to be with you for the rest of my life," Lindenmeyer was heard telling Storovich in video shared by the program. After putting the ring on her finger the two shared a kiss while teammates jumped and applauded.
"All right boys. I hope to play my heart out for you every night. This is the love of my life right here," Lindenmeyer told his teammates, according to the footage. The moment capped a dominant performance by Nebraska, which scored its most points in a game since 2007.
Quarterback Dylan Raiola completed a night of big plays, throwing for 364 yards and four touchdowns in the shutout. Nebraska amassed 728 total yards, the most the program has recorded in a game since 2014, and rotated numerous players into the lineup as the rout widened.

Coaches and players emphasized sustained effort through all four quarters. "It's a new style of Nebraska football," Raiola said after the game. "We're not going to be a first-half team and come out swinging and then drop off. For us to do that performance, we suited up everybody we could and got as many guys as we could into the game. Job well done by everybody. We played really strong for four quarters."
Lindenmeyer’s touchdown was a highlight amid a lopsided matchup. The Cornhuskers’ offense spread the ball and produced both big plays and steady gains, while the defense recorded a shutout against the Zips. Emmett Johnson and other offensive contributors celebrated each scoring drive with the home crowd at Memorial Stadium.

Nebraska's social media accounts posted video of the proposal and the in-stadium celebration, drawing attention from fans and media after the game. The Associated Press contributed to this report.
