Prince Archie, the six-year-old son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has been attending a British-themed soccer program in the Los Angeles area, photographs posted by his mother indicate.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a series of Instagram images showing Archie wearing a red jersey bearing the logo of GB Soccer School, a football training facility in Studio City, California. The posts, published as part of a behind-the-scenes look at filming for her Netflix series, included shots of Archie handling a clapperboard and watching camera operations alongside his younger sister, Lilibet.
GB Soccer School reposted Meghan’s Instagram images to its own Stories and included smiling-face emojis, which the school presented alongside the photographs. Media reports said the camp charges about £2,000 for a package of eight lessons; that figure was reported by the Daily Mail and reflects the advertised cost for certain programs at the facility.
The Studio City program is described by the school as British-themed and offers youth football training designed to introduce players to techniques and drills common in British youth academies. Studio City is in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, roughly 70 miles from the Sussexes’ residence in Montecito, California.
Archie’s appearance in the camp’s apparel coincided with Meghan’s social media posts promoting her Netflix project. The duchess has used Instagram intermittently to share personal photographs and production stills related to her work, and the recent posts combined family images with glimpses of the set.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have kept aspects of their children’s private lives guarded while occasionally sharing family moments in public statements and on social media.
