Rampage Jackson’s son Raja arrested in assault case stemming from August KnokX Pro Wrestling incident
LAPD booked Raja Jackson on a felony charge, holding him on a $50,000 bond; Rampage Jackson says he has cut contact with his son

Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC star Rampage Jackson, was arrested Thursday morning by the Los Angeles Police Department on a felony charge connected to a brutal beating at an August KnokX Pro Wrestling event in California. He was booked shortly before 2 p.m. local time and is being held on a $50,000 bond, according to jail records reviewed by The Post. The KnokX Pro Wrestling event remains the focal point of investigators’ inquiry, and authorities have not publicly detailed additional charges beyond the felony filing.
Video footage circulated on social media showing Raja Jackson entering the ring and delivering a series of punches to Stuart Smith, who wrestles as Syko Stu, as other participants intervened to separate them. The August incident left Smith hospitalized with serious injuries. Family updates later identified jaw trauma, a lip laceration, a fractured maxilla, and the loss of several teeth. Smith appeared to be on a long road to recovery, though his family said he had been released from the hospital by the time the updates were issued.
LAPD officials said the department is investigating the incident, which drew significant online attention after footage circulated on X. TMZ was among the outlets that reported on Jackson’s arrest Thursday night, citing sources familiar with the case. Rampage Jackson publicly addressed the situation in an interview with MMA and wrestling journalist Ariel Helwani, saying he had cut contact with his son and that he did not want to discuss the matter publicly until further clarity was obtained. Jackson added that he would not “cut him off forever,” but that he could not talk to him while the investigation was ongoing.
The KnokX Pro Wrestling event, staged in California, produced a confrontation in which a wrestler was assaulted in the ring and staggered to the mat as others rushed in to break up the melee. Family statements in August indicated that Smith sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the emergency room, with subsequent updates noting his condition and the seriousness of the injuries. Smith’s family later said he was released from the hospital and remained in recovery, emphasizing the long road ahead for rehabilitation.
Authorities have not released additional information about charges beyond the felony allegation, and no court date had been announced at the time of reporting. The case underscores continuing scrutiny of behavior at professional wrestling events and the role of social-media footage in shaping public awareness of in-ring incidents. As the investigation proceeds, officials have not indicated whether other individuals will face charges or what additional evidence may come to light. The Los Angeles Police Department and KnokX Pro Wrestling representatives did not provide further comment for this article.
