Sale Sharks' Reuben Logan says parents' podcast clips were played in gym, asks Gabby Logan to stop

Reuben Logan, a 20-year-old flanker who joined Sale Sharks this season, has told The Telegraph he asked his mother, broadcaster Gabby Logan, to stop discussing her and his father Kenny Logan's sex life publicly after clips were played in his team gym.

"Can. You. Please. Stop," Reuben said he told his mother, recalling an occasion when the podcast episode was played for part of a gym session while he was at Northampton Saints early in his career. He said he had not known the episode had been released until he heard it in the locker room and asked Gabby to be more mindful of his environment as a late-teenage rugby player.

Gabby Logan hosts the podcast The Mid Point, where she and Kenny discussed his treatment and recovery after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022. The couple have spoken publicly about the physical and emotional impact of treatment, including challenges to sexual function. Kenny has described sexual function as "not consistent" at times during recovery and said a surgeon warned it could take up to 18 months to improve. Research has also noted a high incidence of erectile dysfunction following prostate cancer treatment, according to media accounts.

Reuben's remarks were delivered in a light tone and come after Gabby accidentally revealed his move to Sale during a separate interview. Gabby has recounted her son's plea on air, saying he told her to stop talking about the family's sex life because clips were being played in dressing rooms. She also said she planned an episode addressing the matter.

On her podcast and in other interviews, Gabby and Kenny have said they hoped public discussions could help other families dealing with cancer and its aftereffects. Kenny has discussed using devices and other interventions to regain erectile function as part of recovery.

Reuben, who moved to Sale Sharks from Northampton Saints ahead of the 2025–26 season, is the son of former Scotland international Kenny Logan and broadcaster Gabby Logan. He and his twin sister, Lois, have occasionally been referenced by their parents in public conversations about health and family. Reuben said he understood the wider purpose of the discussions but asked only that his mother consider the setting and timing of such revelations while he works in a team environment.
