Three Daily Mail readers win £1,000 each in Premier League Predictor game

Three readers of the Daily Mail have each won £1,000 after correctly predicting the outcomes of the paper’s Premier League Predictor game, the publisher announced.

Linda Spevick, Anne Singleton and Chey Dakota were named as the first prize winners in the competition. Spevick said she was "delighted to be the Daily Mail Predictor's first ever winner," calling the result "such a surprise." Singleton described herself as "totally shocked to find that I'm a winner," while Dakota said "the prize couldn't have come at a better time."

The Predictor asks entrants to forecast the outcome of seven Premier League fixtures each weekend, awarding one point for every correct prediction. In the event of a tie, participants must predict the minute in which the first goal of the tiebreaker match will be scored. An autofill option is also available for players who wish to have selections made automatically.

The winners were reported in a piece by Dan Davis published on Sept. 5, 2025 and updated on Sept. 6, 2025. The competition forms part of the Daily Mail's coverage around the opening weeks of the 2025-26 Premier League season, a period that has produced a mixture of expected results and surprise performances.

Organisers did not disclose the number of entries or the total prize pool beyond the three announced £1,000 prizes. The competition’s rules, as described by the Daily Mail, emphasise straightforward play: correctly forecast the winner of each game or a draw, and add a tiebreaker time prediction to separate players with identical point totals.

The Predictor is open to readers alongside the regular match coverage and analysis published by the newspaper. For those wishing to participate, the Daily Mail's platform allows users to submit selections for the seven designated fixtures each weekend and to use the autofill feature if they prefer.

Spevick, Singleton and Dakota each received the £1,000 prizes after their entries matched the required number of correct predictions for the weekend in question. The Daily Mail said it will continue to run the Predictor across the Premier League season, with further prizes to be offered on subsequent weekends.
