Two fans ejected after exchange with Allisha Gray during Fever playoff win
Incident at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with 6:10 remaining in Game 2; Indiana won 77-60 to even the first-round series

Two Indiana Fever fans were removed from their courtside seats at Gainbridge Fieldhouse after an apparent exchange with Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray late in Game 2 of the WNBA first-round series on Sept. 16, 2025.
With 6:10 remaining and the Fever holding a lead in what became a 77-60 victory that evened the best-of-three series at 1-1, Gray turned toward the crowd and appeared to respond to spectators, according to social media video of the incident. She then alerted venue security, and the two spectators were escorted from the arena, USA Today reported.
Gray, who finished the game with nine points, seven rebounds and two assists, was visibly upset after the exchange and walked back to the Dream bench where a teammate consoled her, images and reports showed. She was unavailable to reporters after the game.
The Fever used a balanced attack in Game 2 to pull even in the opening-round series. The Dream won Game 1, 80-68, when Gray scored 20 points with six rebounds and four assists.

Dream coach Karl Smesko, in his first season with the team, praised Indiana after Tuesday’s loss, saying, "I give Indiana a lot of credit. We knew they'd come out, be competitive. They've been resilient all year, and they were very good today. They made us pay for our mistakes." He added he had confidence the Dream would respond in Game 3 in Atlanta.
"I got a lot of confidence in this team," Smesko said. "I truly believe we'll play our best game of the series next game."
Tipoff for the decisive Game 3 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday in Atlanta. The series winner advances from the first round of the WNBA playoffs.

The league and teams typically do not release details about spectator ejections beyond confirming that security removed attendees for conduct violations. The Flames of supervision at courtside seating, and the incident drew attention on social media as postseason play continued.
Game 3 will determine which team advances; both squads enter the matchup seeking a return to form and a chance to move on in the WNBA playoffs.
