Brittany Aldean vows to 'live like Charlie' after Turning Point founder memorial
Aldean attends Charlie Kirk memorial in Glendale; Trump and Erika Kirk among speakers as authorities identify a suspect in Kirk’s death.

Brittany Aldean joined her husband Jason Aldean and nearly 100,000 mourners at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday for the memorial service of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed while speaking outside Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Aldean said the service was heavily faith-based and left her feeling overwhelmed yet inspired by Kirk's impact. 'Yesterday we went to Charlie's funeral service in Arizona, and it was vastly different than I expected in the sense that it was just so faith-based,' she said. 'I knew it was going to be but everyone was worshiping … there was something different in the room.'
Former President Donald Trump, Erika Kirk, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were among the speakers who offered tributes to Kirk at the Arizona service, which attendees described as a faith-filled tribute underscoring Kirk's influence among young conservatives and his broader reach in political activism.
Savannah Chrisley, who had planned to join Kirk on a campus tour before his death, told Fox & Friends that Kirk's loss had a galvanizing effect on his followers. 'I think when this assassin did take Charlie's life, that was the turning point for him,' Chrisley said, adding that Kirk's death may ultimately mobilize his supporters to defend freedom and raise their voices. Chrisley also praised Erika Kirk for taking the helm of Turning Point and continuing her husband’s mission, saying Charlie had long been a voice for the country and that Erika's leadership could help carry that message forward in new ways.
'Charlie has been a voice for our country,' she said, reflecting on Kirk's impact and the work ahead for Turning Point USA.
Erika Kirk is slated to lead Turning Point as the organization continues its work in Kirk's memory and mission. During remarks and interviews, attendees noted that Charlie Kirk's cause—advocating for conservative ideas on campuses and beyond—was carried forward by his wife and by supporters who pledged to keep his programs active.
Authorities identified the murder suspect as Tyler Robinson, 22, who was arrested and charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm, and two counts of obstruction of justice. A judge ordered that he be held without bail. The case is under ongoing investigation, and authorities emphasized the memorial service as a moment of reflection for Kirk's supporters and a spotlight on the continued goals of Turning Point USA.
The memorial drew prominent political figures and thousands of attendees, with organizers describing the event as a revival that highlighted faith and civic engagement as intertwined strands of Kirk's legacy.
