Memorial for Charlie Kirk set for State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona

A memorial service for Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, is set for Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to honor the 31-year-old conservative activist who was assassinated on Sept. 10 during the first stop of Turning Point USA’s The American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University.

The service, titled "Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk," will begin at 11 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET) on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025. State Farm Stadium seats about 63,400 and can expand to more than 73,000 for larger events. Doors open three hours before the start time, and indoor overflow will be available next door at the Desert Diamond Arena. The organizers say the event is first-come, first-served based on stadium capacity, and enhanced security measures may lead to longer wait times than usual. Attendees must register in advance on Turning Point USA’s website, and the registration page asks for a mobile phone number.

The memorial will be broadcast on Fox News Channel and Fox News Digital, and it will also be livestreamed on Charlie Kirk’s Rumble account. The event’s program lists a slate of speakers and performers, including Erika Kirk, the founder’s widow; former President Donald Trump; Vice President JD Vance; White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles; Secretary of State Marco Rubio; Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; Secretary of War Pete Hegseth; Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard; Donald Trump Jr.; Tucker Carlson; White House advisor Stephen Miller; and Sergio Gor. Top Christian worship artists Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe Carnes, and Cody Carnes are also slated to perform Sunday.

The memorial follows Kirk’s death on Sept. 10, during the first stop of Turning Point USA’s tour at UVU in Orem, Utah. Kirk, 31, founded Turning Point USA in 2012 and led the organization as it promoted its mission of fiscal responsibility, free markets and limited government among students. In the hours after the assassination, supporters and well-wishers gathered at Turning Point USA’s Phoenix headquarters to lay flowers and share tributes.

Attendance at State Farm Stadium is expected to be capped by capacity, with indoor overflow available at Desert Diamond Arena next door. Those hoping to attend should register promptly and anticipate security screenings at access points. The event is being closely watched by supporters and critics of Kirk’s movement, reflecting the heightened political tension surrounding his work and memorials tied to it.

The service comes as Turning Point USA, founded in 2012, continues to promote its mission of engaging students in discussions about fiscal conservatism, limited government, and free markets. Organizers described the event as a way to celebrate Kirk’s work and legacy, while offering supporters a chance to reflect on his influence on youth political engagement.
