One Suspect in Custody After New Hampshire Country Club Shooting, Police Say

NASHUA, N.H. — A shooting at Sky Meadow Country Club on Saturday night left multiple people injured, authorities said. Nashua police said video surveillance confirmed there was one shooter, and the suspect is in custody as investigators press a continuing inquiry. Police added there is no current danger to the public.

The shooting occurred at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, a city about 45 miles northwest of Boston, near the Massachusetts border. The conditions of the victims were not immediately available, and the investigation remained active late Saturday. An aerial view provided by WMUR-TV showed a large police and emergency response presence at the scene. Nashua police asked people to avoid the Sky Meadow area while the investigation continued. Dunstable, Massachusetts, a neighboring town, issued a shelter-in-place order during the response.

U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander, who represents portions of southern New Hampshire, released a statement saying she was closely monitoring the reports and that her heart was with the victims, their families and the community.

Authorities did not immediately release details on the number of victims or a possible motive. Investigators planned to review surveillance footage, canvass the area for witnesses, and collect evidence from the scene as the investigation continued into the night. There was no immediate information about a potential connection to other nearby areas.

The shooting underscores ongoing concerns about public safety in the United States, though officials cautioned against speculation while the investigation proceeds. Updates are expected as new information becomes available.
