RNC raises more than $10 million in November, boosting midterm war chest

WASHINGTON — The Republican National Committee raised $10.2 million in November, pushing its 2025 fundraising total to about $156.3 million and leaving the committee with $89.9 million in cash on hand as of Nov. 30, according to figures shared exclusively with The Post.

RNC chairman Joe Gruters and finance chair JD Vance said the month’s haul will help the party defend and expand its majorities in the 2026 midterms, and the campaign committee says the resources will fund outreach across the country. The RNC noted that President Trump and Vance are leading a nationwide push to reach voters, with a Friday-night event in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, as part of the broader messaging effort and a December 9 stop in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.

October figures provided context show the RNC raised $14.7 million in October and ended the month with $91.2 million in cash on hand, according to Federal Election Commission filings, while the DNC raised $23.1 million in October and had $18.2 million in cash. The DNC also carried more than $15 million in campaign debt at that time, and the RNC carried no debt. The DNC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The November haul comes as Trump continues a multi-state affordability tour, with a focus on resonating on economic issues as Republicans prepare for a 2026 contest that could hinge on incumbency and fundraising strength.

Mid-year context sets the stage: halfway through 2025, the RNC, then led by chairman Michael Whatley, had $80.7 million in cash on hand, while the DNC had about $15.2 million in the bank. The latest figures reinforce the party’s edge in fundraising as officials anticipate a busy slate of congressional races next year.

The campaign landscape remains fluid as both parties prepare for the next cycle, with the RNC and allied committees seeking to sustain a sustained advertising and voter-contact effort ahead of the 2026 midterms. The Democratic response to the November results and what it means for field operations was not immediately available for comment.

As the cycle moves forward, Republican fundraising continues to outpace its Democratic counterpart in cash on hand, while Democrats emphasize showdown campaigns and policy messaging. The parties will continue to test and adjust their fundraising and outreach strategies in the months ahead.
