President Donald Trump on Saturday pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute a list of political adversaries in a now-deleted Truth Social post, calling for charges against former FBI Director James Comey, Sen. Adam Schiff, and New York Attorney General Letitia James and slamming Bondi for 'all talk, no action.' The post, which Trump later removed, also included a line suggesting that 'they’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.'

Trump tied the call for action to the controversy surrounding Erik Siebert, who had been tapped as interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia but had not yet been confirmed by the Senate. In the deleted message, Trump claimed 'we almost put in a Democrat-supported U.S. Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past,' and labeled Siebert a 'Woke RINO' who was 'never going to do his job.' Siebert later said he resigned from the prospective post, and Trump contended he was fired and that there is 'a GREAT CASE' supported by 'many lawyers, and legal pundits.'

Trump also urged Bondi to release 'credible' Epstein files and warned that delaying prosecutions was harming the administration's reputation and credibility. In the thread, he argued that 'justice must be served, now' and amplified his accusation that the law should apply to his opponents with urgency. He singled out Epstein-related material as a point of action, telling Bondi to declassify or disclose information that could support pursuing cases.

Hours after the deleted post, Trump posted a second message praising Bondi for eight months of 'careful' work and signaling a plan to nominate a tougher Virginia prosecutor. He praised Bondi as 'very careful, very smart, loves our Country,' but said she needed 'a tough prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia, like my recommendation, Lindsey Halligan, to get things moving' and added that 'What we don’t need is a Democrat Endorsed ‘Republican.’'

Hours later, as Trump departed the White House for the American Cornerstone Institute Founder's Dinner, he was asked by reporters whether he was upset with Bondi. He replied that he was not angry with her, but that action was needed immediately: 'They were ruthless and vicious. I was impeached twice. I was indicted five times. It turned out to be a fake deal. And we have to act fast one way or the other. One way or the other. They’re guilty. They’re not guilty,' he said. 'We have to act fast. If they’re not guilty, that’s fine. If they are guilty or if they should be judged, they should be charged. And we have to do it now.' He reiterated his intention to nominate Halligan to be prosecutor in Virginia, saying, 'She will be Fair, Smart, and will provide, desperately needed, JUSTICE FOR ALL!'

The Department of Justice did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. She has covered major national crises, including the L.A. wildfires, Potomac and Hudson River aviation disasters, Boulder terror attack, and Texas Hill Country floods.

In the immediate aftermath, the White House did not issue a formal statement on the deleted post, and Bondi’s office did not respond to inquiries at the time. The exchange underscores Trump’s focus on prosecutions of perceived political adversaries and his continued emphasis on Epstein-related disclosures, while also highlighting Bondi’s role in federal law enforcement matters. The potential nomination of Lindsey Halligan to Virginia’s Eastern District reflects a push for a more aggressive prosecutorial posture in the district, which has historically drawn scrutiny amid federal- and state-level investigations surrounding the administration.

The episode also illustrates the broader political dynamics at play as Trump seeks to press federal officials into action against critics and opponents, using social media to outline his preferred path forward. Analysts say the situation signals a continued pattern in which Trump activates high-profile legal and political figures to advance his own narrative on accountability, regardless of immediate political optics. The Epstein file issue, in particular, remains a recurring touchstone in debates over transparency and the balance between political leverage and the independence of federal offices.
