Two people were killed and five others were wounded in a shooting early Sunday in northwest Indianapolis, police said. Around 2 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a parking lot on Shore Terrace, where they found five people suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the remaining three were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Two other people believed to have been shot in the same incident sought help on their own — one walked into a hospital and the other into a fire station, authorities said. Police said investigators are reviewing surveillance video and canvassing witnesses as they work to determine a motive and identify any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
