A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after four hit-and-run incidents in Lincolnshire on Friday, involving three cyclists and an elderly pedestrian. Police say the incidents are linked and occurred between 06:44 and 10:04 BST in Boston, Maltby Le Marsh, Alford and Calceby. The vehicle is believed to be a black Range Rover, and it failed to stop at each incident. The suspect is in custody on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drugs, driving without a licence and insurance, and aggravated vehicle taking, according to Lincolnshire Police.

The first incident was on Priory Road, Boston, where a male cyclist was seriously injured after being knocked off his bike. At 08:20, officers received a second report of a cyclist knocked off on Maltby Le Marsh, near Alford. A third incident occurred on West Street, Alford, about 20 minutes later, when an elderly man was knocked over and sustained minor injuries. The fourth incident occurred at 10:04 on Bluestone Heath Road, Calceby, when a third cyclist was struck. The vehicle is believed to have been involved in all four incidents and did not stop.

Sgt Billy Spence said the incidents were unusual and potentially worrying for people in the area. He added that investigators are keeping an open mind about the exact events but believe they are linked, and urged the public not to speculate and to allow police to carry out inquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone with footage or information to contact them.
