Arrest after two teenagers die in car crash on Holland Road, Oxted

Two teenage men have died after a car crashed into a tree on Holland Road in the Hurst Green area of Oxted, Surrey Police said Saturday night. The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. GMT near the junction with Popes Lane. Emergency crews attended the scene, and officers began securing the area and gathering evidence as part of the investigation.
A 30-year-old man from Oxted was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The driver of the white Tesla was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
One teenager died at the scene and the second died later in hospital, while a third teenage man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries. Surrey Police said the investigation will seek to establish the full sequence of events leading to the crash.
Holland Road was closed between the Popes Lane junction and the Warren Lane junction while officers carried out inquiries on Sunday as detectives gather evidence and speak to witnesses. Police urged anyone who saw the crash or who has dashcam footage to come forward.
