A man described as wearing a faded red Mario Kart T-shirt, gray sweatpants and a black ski mask is sought after a 13-year-old was followed into her building and a 15-year-old was attacked hours later in the same area, police say.

A man is being sought by police after an attempted rape of a 13-year-old girl in Brooklyn on Friday, followed by a second, similar assault on a 15-year-old girl hours later, authorities said. The first incident occurred at about 1:35 p.m. near Ocean Boulevard and Ditmas Avenue, according to the NYPD.
In the first attack, the 13-year-old was followed into her apartment building, grabbed by the neck, and pushed underneath a staircase, police said. She did not sustain injuries. Investigators described the suspect as a man wearing a faded red Mario Kart T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and a black ski mask, and they released surveillance images showing the clothing.
Approximately six hours later, at about 6:55 p.m., authorities say the same man attacked a 15-year-old girl in a nearby area similar to the earlier incident. He is wanted for endangering the welfare of a child, according to an NYPD post on X.
Police said investigators believe the same suspect is involved in the second incident, with detectives reviewing surveillance footage and canvassing for additional witnesses in the neighborhood near Ocean Boulevard and Ditmas Avenue.
As of Friday night, no arrests had been announced, and the case remained under active investigation. No further details about injuries in the second incident were provided, and authorities urged anyone with information to contact the NYPD.
