The shooting occurred around 7 a.m. Central Time, when witnesses said the gunman fired repeatedly at the ICE office and peppered a transport van with bullets, shattering windows in the building in the process. One witness, Arianny Sierra, told NBC News she heard what sounded like about 20 shots in a row while waiting for her husband at an ICE appointment nearby. Federal authorities later confirmed that the victims were detainees and that no law enforcement officers were injured during the attack.
