Drunk passenger removed after bomb threat on Frontier flight from Nashville to Denver

A Frontier Airlines flight from Nashville to Denver was disrupted Tuesday morning after a passenger threatened to blow up the aircraft as it prepared to depart, prompting police intervention and a temporary halt to boarding.

Video of the incident captured by a fellow passenger shows the unnamed woman in a brown long-sleeve shirt arguing with a police officer and shouting that the plane would explode. Julia Henderson, who posted the clip on TikTok, said the passenger was “super drunk” and had been creating a scene beforehand. A Frontier Airlines spokesperson told the Daily Mail that the woman claimed there was an explosive device on the aircraft.

The officer managed to pull the woman from her seat toward the door after several attempts, and she stumbled toward the exit while pointing and shouting, “Right there!” Passengers nearby could be heard clapping as she was escorted off. It was not immediately clear whether she was arrested or charged.

Frontier said the threat was deemed noncredible and that, out of an abundance of caution, all other passengers were temporarily deplaned while law enforcement conducted a security sweep. The flight then reboarded and traveled safely to Denver.

The incident occurred at Nashville International Airport and underscores the ongoing security procedures for domestic flights in the United States. Authorities did not immediately disclose any charges against the passenger.

Reaction on social media included praise for the officer’s handling of the situation, with several commenters saying the officer acted decisively without lengthy explanations about evacuation.
