Mass brawl among motorcyclists in Long Island suburbs leaves four stabbed, seven charged
Fights erupted at a West Islip sports bar and a Lindenhurst gas station; detectives say more charges are possible as the investigation continues.

Approximately 20 men identified by police as motorcyclists engaged in multiple street brawls across suburban Long Island on Sunday, leaving four people stabbed and seven men facing rioting charges, Suffolk County authorities said.
The first large confrontation occurred at 1683 Sports Bar & Grille in West Islip on Sunday afternoon and later escalated into a second, more violent clash outside a Phillips 66 gas station in Lindenhurst, about five miles away, police said. Five men were taken to hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries; four suffered stab wounds and a fifth sustained blunt-force injuries to his face and body.
Suffolk County police said multiple brawls involving rival biker crews unfolded across the county. Officers arrested or identified seven men on second-degree rioting charges and issued desk appearance tickets; none of those men was held in custody overnight, police said. Detectives described the investigation as ongoing and cautioned that additional, more serious charges — including assault, weapons possession or attempted murder — could be filed as evidence is developed.
A Phillips 66 attendant who witnessed the Lindenhurst confrontation told reporters the fight became a “full-on street showdown,” with knives reportedly drawn and blood visible on the pavement. Police have not publicly released the names of those involved or provided details tying the participants to formal club or gang affiliations. Officials said the men were motorcyclists but stressed the violence was not being labeled as connected to any particular motorcycle club.
Law enforcement personnel responded to both scenes and canvassed surrounding areas for witnesses and video, according to investigators. Authorities said they were reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to reconstruct the sequence of events that led to the spread of violence from the bar to the gas station and possibly to other nearby locations.

The district attorney's office will review the investigation and any arrests for possible escalation of charges. Police said the seven men charged with riot-related offenses were unidentified in public records released Tuesday; desk appearance tickets require the recipients to appear in court at a later date.
Local emergency medical services treated and released several people at the scenes and transported others to hospitals for further care. Officials characterized the injuries as non-life-threatening but said the presence of stab wounds elevated the severity of the incidents and intensified the criminal probe.

The incidents prompted a heightened police presence in parts of Suffolk County as detectives continued to gather evidence and interview participants and witnesses. Authorities asked anyone with video or information to contact the Suffolk County Police Department. No further arrests were announced as of Tuesday afternoon, and the investigation remained active.
