Missing Cumbria woman seen in Costa Coffee on CCTV, police say
Police release CCTV of Alexandra Harrod, 47, who vanished Aug. 30 after last seen in Workington and Whitehaven.

Police have released CCTV footage of a missing woman inside Costa Coffee days after she was reported missing, in an effort to locate her. Alexandra Harrod, 47, from Seaton in Cumbria, has been missing for about three weeks after last being seen while shopping in Workington and Whitehaven. The footage, taken on Sept. 2 at Costa Coffee on King Street in Whitehaven, shows Harrod entering the shop with a rucksack at about 11:20 a.m. She is wearing dark tracksuit trousers and a dark padded coat, and has short dark hair. Harrod also goes by the name Alex, and police describe her as white.
Harrod’s disappearance has prompted officers to share the footage and appeal for information about her whereabouts. Police say she has links to various parts of the UK, including Devon, Durham, Dorset, Leeds and Wiltshire, which investigators say could complicate the search. She was reported missing on Aug. 30, according to Cumbria Constabulary.
The force said it is concerned for Harrod’s welfare and is appealing to any wider family members or friends who have not yet been in touch to contact them. Officers described Harrod as white with short dark hair and urged anyone who may have seen her or who has information to contact 101. They cautioned not to approach her if she is located, and to report sightings to the police immediately. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are following all leads as they work to determine Harrod’s current location and well-being.
