A missing Cumbria woman has been spotted on CCTV inside a Costa Coffee in Whitehaven, police said, as the search for Alexandra Harrod enters its third week. Harrod, 47, from Seaton, Cumbria, also goes by the name Alex, and was reported missing on August 30 after being seen in Workington and Whitehaven in the days prior. Police described her as white, with short dark hair, and said she has links to several parts of the UK.

CCTV footage from Costa Coffee on King Street shows Harrod entering the shop with a rucksack around 11:20 a.m. on September 2, wearing dark track pants and a dark padded coat. The force said their investigation has identified multiple connections to Devon, Durham, Dorset, Leeds and Wiltshire, broadening the potential area of interest while guiding the search.

Cumbria Constabulary said officers are concerned for her welfare and are appealing to any family members or friends who have not yet been in touch to contact them. They urged anyone with information on Harrod’s whereabouts, or anyone who has seen her, to call 101. They also asked Harrod to contact police if she sees the appeal.

The case has drawn renewed attention as authorities release the footage days after her disappearance was reported. The investigation continues, with officers coordinating with neighboring forces and reviewing additional surveillance footage and travel records to piece together her movements in the weeks since August 30.
