Older brother of Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher denies rape and sex attack charges

Paul Gallagher, 59, the older brother of Oasis frontmen Noel and Liam Gallagher, has denied rape and a string of other charges after appearing in court in London on 26 September 2025. He is charged with coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2022 and 2024, according to the charge sheet.

Gallagher entered his pleas from the dock at Harrow Crown Court, which was sitting at Southwark Crown Court today, wearing a suit and thick-rimmed glasses. The DJ and photographer, who lives in the East Finchley area of North London, is due to face trial on 13 September 2027.

He is Noel and Liam Gallagher’s older brother. He grew up with the pair in the Burnage area of Manchester, but he has never been involved with Oasis.

He previously appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 27 August to confirm his name, age and address but entered no pleas during that hearing. Gallagher, who is one year older than Noel and six years older than Liam, remains on bail while the case proceeds.

The Oasis Live '25 tour began in Cardiff in July after Liam and Noel said in August 2024 that they would perform together for the first time since the band split in 2009.
