One dead, two injured in New Hampshire country club shooting; suspect in court
Club owner condemns shooter as coward; victim's wife pledges to stay in the community as court proceedings proceed

A shooting Saturday at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, left one person dead and two others wounded, authorities said. Police identified the shooter as Hunter Nadeau, who reportedly shouted "Free Palestine" before opening fire during a wedding at the club.
Nadeau appeared virtually in Nashua District Court on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, where prosecutors charged him with second-degree murder in the death of Robert DeCesare, 59, a long-time Sky Meadow member who family said died trying to protect his wife and their daughter. The judge set a probable-cause hearing for Oct. 21, 2025. Two others were wounded in the shooting.
Sky Meadow owner Rob Parsons spoke with reporters outside the courthouse, describing the attack as "the heinous act of a coward who will be held accountable for what he did." Parsons said the community would not let the perpetrator's actions define Sky Meadow or the town of Nashua.
Charlene DeCesare, Robert DeCesare's wife of 27 years, said she would remain in the Nashua area and continue living near Sky Meadow. "Everyone needs to know I am not leaving Sky Meadow and I\’m not leaving this community. This is my solace, this is my home," she wrote, according to Parsons, who recounted her statement.
Investigators have not publicly disclosed a motive. The shooting occurred during a private wedding at the country club, and the investigation remained ongoing as of Monday. No additional arrests were announced, authorities said.
The episode has drawn renewed attention to security at private gatherings and the emotional toll on a close-knit club community that has long counted the DeCesares among its members. Nashua police and prosecutors said the investigation would continue, with updates released as they become available.

Parsons added that he had spoken with Charlene DeCesare, who he described as a longtime member who intends to remain at Sky Meadow and in the neighborhood despite the tragedy. The couple were described in local circles as deeply rooted in the club and the surrounding community.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact Nashua police. They reiterated that the investigation remains active and that more details would be shared as they become available.
