Ryanair turbulence injures two crew on Majorca-bound flight as European airports grapple with cyber-attack
Two Ryanair cabin crew were injured on a Majorca-bound flight from Spain as severe turbulence struck near Palma; the disruption comes amid a weekend cyber-attack that disrupted flights across Brussels, Berlin and Dublin.

Two Ryanair cabin crew members were injured when a Majorca-bound flight from Vitoria in northern Spain encountered severe turbulence as it prepared to land in Palma. The plane jolted while attendants were carrying out safety checks, throwing one crew member against the ceiling and another into a service trolley. All 180 people on board were shaken by the turbulence.
An ambulance was dispatched after the aircraft landed in Majorca to treat the injured crew. The Daily Mail has contacted Ryanair for comment. The incident comes as European airports grapple with disruption from a mass cyber-attack that disrupted check-in and boarding systems.
Brussels Airport has asked airlines to cancel almost half of its departures on Monday, with about 140 of 276 outbound flights scrapped. Airports in Berlin and Dublin were still working to return to normal, with travellers warned to expect continuing delays as the disruption from the attack persisted.
Hackers targeted Collins Aerospace, the check-in and boarding systems provider owned by RTX, triggering hundreds of cancellations and delays as airports pressed ahead with manual processing of passengers. Heathrow officials said the vast majority of flights were operating normally, but check-in and boarding for some flights may take longer than usual; travelers were advised to check flight status and to arrive no earlier than three hours for long-haul flights and two hours for short-haul flights.
At Berlin Airport, some airlines were still boarding passengers manually and there was no clear indication of how long the technical malfunction would persist.
