Skeletal remains of missing man found by walker in south Wales, inquest told
Remains of Jordan Moray, missing since 2019, discovered in Brecon Beacons area; post-mortem inconclusive; inquest adjourned

The skeletal remains of Jordan Moray, who vanished from his flat in July 2019, have been found by a walker in a remote part of south Wales, an inquest has heard.
Moray, from Cwmbach near Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf, was reported missing after his games console remained running and his mobile phone was on charge when he disappeared. Despite extensive police searches at the time, his body was not located until 29 August 2025, the Pontypridd Coroner's Court was told. The remains were found in a secluded area near Merthyr Tydfil. South Wales Police had earlier said the discovery was near Llwyn-on Reservoir in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, also known as the Brecon Beacons.
A post-mortem examination was carried out, but the cause of death could not be determined. Assistant Coroner for South Wales Central, Andrew Morse, opened the inquest and offered condolences to Moray's family. The hearing was adjourned to a later date as investigations continue.
