Sophia Hutchins not under influence at time of fatal ATV crash, medical examiner finds
Medical examiner's report reviewed by TMZ concludes Hutchins was sober when the July ATV crash occurred near Caitlyn Jenner's Malibu home

A medical examiner's report reviewed by TMZ concludes that Sophia Hutchins was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the July ATV crash near Caitlyn Jenner's Malibu home occurred.
Hutchins, 29, died after her Polaris ATV plunged about 350 feet down a cliff. The cause of death was listed as multiple blunt force injuries, and investigators ruled the wreck an accident. First responders pronounced her dead at the scene, and she was laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Los Angeles on July 24.
According to Daily Mail reporting, Hutchins's ATV is said to have struck a car's bumper while navigating near Jenner's Malibu home, causing her to fall into a ravine. Investigators told the outlet she was speeding in the 2013 Polaris ATV and was traveling alongside a Mazda when she rear-ended the other vehicle; two people in the car were not injured.
Hutchins had been a longtime member of Jenner's inner circle for nearly a decade, beginning as Jenner's manager in 2015 and moving into Jenner's home in 2017. She later served as CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation and was a frequent presence on Jenner's reality programs, including I Am Cait, which aired for two seasons.
In 2020, Hutchins participated in a SKIMS advertising campaign for Kim Kardashian's line. She was particularly close to Kris Jenner and had a strong rapport with Jenner's daughters Kendall and Kylie.
The tragedy comes nine years after Jenner was involved in a fatal crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The 2015 collision, which involved four vehicles, resulted in the death of Kim Howe, 69. Jenner's own crash has long shaped public discussion of high-profile accidents in the area.
