Trump’s Windsor state dinner shaped by market predictions on God, beauty and freedom

Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump arrived at Windsor Castle for the president's second state visit to the United Kingdom, where they will be guests of honor at a state banquet with King Charles III.

Before the banquet, the couple participated in a wreath-laying at the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II in St George's Chapel and were welcomed on arrival by King Charles and Queen Camilla.

During a tour of Windsor, the Trumps were greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales. The four then walked across the lawn to meet the king and queen. Lip readers cited by the Daily Mail reported that Trump told the Princess of Wales, "you're beautiful".

Betting markets predicted the topics Trump is most likely to raise at the dinner, with God seen as a 76 percent likelihood and Beautiful at 78 percent; freedom was predicted about 67 percent, according to Kalshi.

Trump rode in a carriage with King Charles, while Melania rode with Queen Camilla and William and Kate followed in the third carriage.

Melania wore a Christian Dior Haute Couture dark gray skirt suit and a wide-brimmed plum hat that matched her husband's tie.

Before the state banquet, the couple also attended a Beating Retreat ceremony on the East Lawn at Windsor Castle.

Trump's first state visit to the United Kingdom occurred in 2019, when he traveled with Queen Elizabeth II.
