Two charged with murder of 3-year-old found dead in Hayes
Man and woman from Pennine Way charged in Penelope Chandrie case; due in court
A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a three-year-old girl who was found dead two years ago, police said.
Penelope Chandrie’s body was found on December 17, 2023, at a residential address on Pennine Way in Hayes, west London. Emergency services were called to Pennine Way at 6:09 p.m. following reports of a casualty. The death remains under investigation.
Manpreet Jatana, 34, and Jaskiret Singh Uppal, 36, both of Pennine Way, Hayes, were arrested yesterday and charged with her murder. They are due to appear before Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today, the Metropolitan Police said.
Police said the death remains under investigation and no further details have been released. The case continues to be overseen by detectives from the Metropolitan Police, with authorities reaffirming that Penelope Chandrie was found at the specified address in Hayes two years ago.
