Unruly passenger removed from Frontier flight after bomb threat at Nashville

A Frontier Airlines flight scheduled to depart Nashville International Airport for Denver was halted Tuesday after a passenger threatened to blow up the aircraft.

Unidentified witnesses described the scene as chaotic. A video posted on TikTok by a fellow traveler shows a police officer approaching the row where the woman sat and grabbing her arm to begin evacuating her from the seat. The unidentified passenger shouted that the plane would explode and claimed there was a bomb in her bag. The incident occurred as crew prepared for departure, according to multiple accounts.

Frontier Airlines said the threat was deemed noncredible and that, out of an abundance of caution, all other passengers were deplaned while law enforcement conducted a security sweep. A spokesperson told the Daily Mail that the passenger’s threat prompted a precautionary response, and that the flight was cleared to board again once the sweep concluded.

The officer continued to remove the passenger from the plane after the initial approach, with the unidentified individual stumbling toward the exit and repeatedly shouting phrases such as “It’s gonna explode!” and “Right there!” as fellow travelers watched and, in some cases, applauded the officer’s actions. The video shows the officer lifting the woman up and guiding her toward the door as she resisted.

It remained unclear whether the woman was arrested or charged in connection with the incident. Frontier did not indicate any immediate legal action in its public statement. The flight eventually reboarded and proceeded to Denver, according to airline and passenger accounts.

Officials said the security sweep was conducted as a precaution, and the airline stressed that safety remains the top priority for passengers and crew. The episode underscores ongoing security concerns affecting air travel in the United States and around the world, even as commercial flights continue to operate with enhanced protocols and vigilance.
